The Professional Master of Aviation Science (PMAS) at RCST is a post-graduate research-based study designed for aviation professionals working in aviation related organizations. Candidates for the research-based program must have advanced degree (e.g. Master) in fields of aviation, engineering and technology, with years of professional experience in aviation organizations. The learning structure for the Professional Master of Aviation Science (PMAS) is divided into two distinct parts - taught and research.

 

First part of the program intends to prepare middle managers to senior management level roles.  It allows aviation professionals to advance their knowledge in a wide range of areas and to explore new concepts in Air Transportation. It aims to prepare future senior managers to cope with the various challenges of aviation in the next century.  

 

Second part of the program is to research current aviation industry issues. Professionals will develop practical skills in research related to the aviation industry. It gives future senior leaders the opportunity to enhance their problem-solving and analytical skills. Those abilities are highly recommended for senior management positions.

PMAS Program LEARNING Structure

This practice-integrated program is designed for accomplished aviation professionals with minimum of 5 years professional experience in aviation industry, and possessed a Master degree or equivalent in field of aviation, engineering, and technology. Our Professional Master of Aviation Science (PMAS) includes both taught courses (40%), and independent research and thesis (60%).

  part-2:  INDEPENDENT REARCH AND THESIS

 

  The student must complete a research project in a chosen area of aviation

  Write a Master Thesis Proposal of 1000 words ..

  Submit the thesis proposal to the Director of the School of Aviation Sciences

 Director of SAS will write comment-report before you start writing the thesis 

The Master Thesis length is of approximately 20,000 – 30,000 words.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

 Professional Master of Aviation Science (PMAS) degree requires successful completion of 6 graduate-level courses with minimum total of 60 ECTS-Credits. The Total Cumulative Credits will include core courses,  master thesis. Student performance will be measured against acceptable overall academic achievements throughout the study.

 

Progression to DOCTORATE PROGRAM

Student who have successfully completed the Professional Master of Aviation Science (PMAS) can move ahead to enrol in the doctoral degree program (e.g. Doctor of Aviation Science) at RCST Rockfield College of Sciences and Technology; more information about Doctor of Aviation Science and Management (DASM)

 

 Special Admission Requirements

  Applicant must be at least 25-years old;

  Possess a Master Degree or equivalent in the fields of Aviation

 Have at least 5-years of professional working experience in the Aviation Industry
