Law degree programs at RCST School of Law will provide students with knowledge and skills to understand the fundamental principles of laws and its relationship with man and society. students will understand core topics of law such as principles of supremacy of law, equality before the law, accountability to the law, fairness in the application of the law, separation of powers, participation in decision-making, legal certainty, avoidance of arbitrariness and procedural and legal transparency. 

 

RCST Master of International Criminal Law program contains very interesting curriculum and training exercises, it will enable students to answer three simple but terribly difficult questions:

(1) Does International Criminal Law stand between Hope and Disillusion?; 

(2) Does it constitute a fragile or strong foundation for sustaining Peace?;

(3) Is it a tool for reflection on the future of the Mankind? 

Learning about International Criminal Law makes possible to better understand the universal values that preside over the duty to protect human rights, and to better analyse the ins and outs of what constitutes the first crime against humanity, especially "war".

Master of International Criminal Law degree will prepare participants for exciting international legal careers.

International relations are seriously being disturbed today by numerous conflicts within and outside the boundaries of nations, and aggression as becomes harbingers of international conflicts.

Graduate degree in International Criminal Law will offer specialist careers within the framework of investigations, prosecutions or trials  which will be initiated before international courts (experts, prosecutors, counsels and also lawmakers and diplomats...) but also before national criminal courts, against those responsible for the major international crimes described in particular in the Treaty of Rome.

NOTES:

 

Course MLAW670 - Professional Research Paper:

Student will decide and write a chosen Elective Research Paper (Coursework), the Graduate-Level Coursework MUST correspond to the degree major in International Criminal Law

 

Course MLAW699 - Master Thesis:  

Student will write and submit a Proposal for Master Thesis (maximum 3 pages). The research proposal should be submitted to The Director, School of Law, for Review and Approval. Upon approval of the proposal, the Nominated Supervisor-Professor will send a written respond to the student e.g. Faculty Comment (Approval and Instruction) on the Proposal for Master Thesis, then the student can start working on the Master Thesis

     

 

 

MASTER - MICL Graduation Requirements

 Master of International Criminal Law (MICL) degree requires the successful completion of 12 Graduate-Level Courses with minimum of 90 ECTS-Units (European Credits Transfer System) above the Bachelor degree.

Student performance will be measured against acceptable overall academic achievements throughout the study. The Total Cumulative Credits required for graduation can be achieved through the combination of the Learning Groups listed below:
