BACHELOR of SCIENCE IN AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bachelor of Science in Air Traffic Control Operations and Management program will provide a comprehensive education to prepare graduates for productive careers in the field of air traffic control and management, and essentially enable aerodrome, approach, or area controllers to move to managerial position.

 

The program is set to equip those already having a background in aeronautics to deepen their knowledge not only in air traffic control but also in a variety of subjects such as airport safety, airline operations, and aircraft operations. Eurocontrol expects air traffic in Europe to return to 92% of the 2019 level in 2024. Air traffic controllers will be able to seize new managerial jobs opportunities that will arise on the market by that time.

 

 Learning Outcomes

BS AirTraffic Control Operations and Management degree will enhance students' careers prospect and enable graduates to:

 

Understand the importance of an master plan when it comes to airport capacity and the strategic location of the Air Traffic Control tower and the firefighting building

 

Grasp the different aircraft automation systems used nowadays and their impacts on flight crew performances and on human factors.

 

Master the last and future concepts in air traffic management taking into account the ADSB technology implementation.

 

Acquire in-depth knowledge of the different stakeholders involved in airport operations.

Program Structure and Content

The Bachelor program structure and content below is based on assumption that candidates would have completed higher education studies (with at least 90 ECTS-Credits) and possess Undergraduate Diplomas, or equivalent qualifications from recognised university or institute. 

Candidate will complete a minimum of 18 Undergraduate Courses with Bachelor Thesis or Project in lieu of transfered credits.  Candidates that possessed Higher Qualifications above 90 ECTS-Credits will be Granted Further Transferable Credits, similarly, additional Undergraduate Courses will be assigned to candidates with less transfer credits

Bachelor Degree Requirements

 

BS in Air Traffic Control Operations and Management degree requires successful completion of minimum 180 ECTS-Credits (European Credits Transfer System) including applicable Transferred Credits. Student performance will be measured against acceptable overall academic achievements. 

The Total Cumulative Credits of 180-ECTS required can be achieved through the combination of Learning Groups listed below  (pending total credits transferred into the program)
