Bachelor of Science in Airline Operations and Management program offer the necessary understanding of the functioning of the core departments of an Airline firm. It covers a wide range of areas, such as, aircraft acquisition, airline crisis management and airline business management.

 

The program aims to prepare future managers to cope with the challenges they will face while building networks, making alliances, and maintaining the airline competitiveness in order to ensure their business growth. IATA short-term forecast indicates that global air passenger growth is set to recover faster in the Asia Pacific and Africa & Middle East regions. New management positions will be available for those persons willing to climb the ladder of success.

 

 

Learning Outcomes

BS in Airline Operations and Management degree will enhance students' careers prospect and enable graduates to:

 

Gain knowledge in developing an airline emergency response plan and in managing a crisis following an aircraft accident at the airport

 

Elaborate an airline development plan considering the low-cost airlines’ and the legacy airlines’ markets.

 

Master the financial, pricing and marketing strategies to apply to keep an airline business afloat.

 

Manage the acquisition of new aircraft for the airline fleet using an evaluation and selection process and taking into consideration the leasing market.

Program Structure and Content

The Bachelor program structure and content below is based on assumption that candidates would have completed higher education studies (with at least 90 ECTS-Credits) and possess Undergraduate Diplomas, or equivalent qualifications from recognised university or institute. 

Candidate will complete a minimum of 18 Undergraduate Courses with Bachelor Thesis or Project in lieu of transfered credits.  Candidates that possessed Higher Qualifications above 90 ECTS-Credits will be Granted Further Transferable Credits, similarly, additional Undergraduate Courses will be assigned to candidates with less transfer credits

 BS in Airline Operations and Management degree requires successful completion of minimum 180 ECTS-Credits (European Credits Transfer System) including applicable Transferred Credits. Student performance will be measured against acceptable overall academic achievements.
