 ONE VOICE: COMMONALITIES IN INDIGENOUS PHILOSOPHY

  ►:  INVITATION TO ALL FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE  :◄

WE KNOW WHAT WE KNOW. There are many in the world who do not know of Colonialism or the Doctrine of Discovery, but for the Indigenous (First Nations People), this was the beginning of being invisible or, worse, being treated as sub-human beings. This explains why the Indigenous knowledge has been suppressed and disrespected.

The Doctrine of Discovery documents clearly indicated Indigenous people are sub-humans, not worthy of having their own land, that Christianity should control their lives. The origin of the doctrine goes back to the Papal Bulls issued by Pope Nicholas V in 1452 and 1455, allowing the invasion and killing of the Indigenous Peoples. The Doctrine of Discovery, an evil document of Colonialism, was utilized to destroy the Indigenous people of Hawaii, Africa, Americas and many other Indigenous cultures throughout the world. The real truth of the Worthiness and Value of Indigenous people is incontrovertible, it will not be suppressed.

In the name of the colonialism cancer, the great Indigenous knowledge was stolen and many Indigenous were forced into a culture that was not their own. Indigenous children were most often separated from their families and their culture at a young age, creating the loss of their language, the theft of their ancient creation stories and traditions, stripping them of their Way of Knowing, as well as being forced off land inherited from untold generations. This is the legacy of colonialism with its resulting genocide for the Indigenous.

Today, Indigenous everywhere are coming back to the Way of Knowing, which is their true heritage, embracing their culture and relearning their own traditions. These actions are re-establishing their inherent rights, their self-determination, and their sovereign status. Today, they are the experts of their inalienable right to live as an indigenous people. The yoke of Colonialism is removed, and their heritage is to be respected, loved, and defended. Once regained, our Way of Knowing, our heritage, will never again leave from beneath our feet.

  THIS IS OUR INVITATION ::

The Kingdom of Hawaii is pioneering the publication of database repository called: ONE VOICE: Commonalities in Indigenous Philosophy.

The database will primarily be in Electronic format as a compendium of Indigenous Knowledge of First Nations People worldwide and serves as master record of those things which Indigenous First Nations have in common i.e.

to document our great Nations (from pre-and post colonial period to the present

to share the ancient ways that are the birthplace of all society in order to know ourselves better

to strengthen the heritage we give our children

In many ways we are rebuilding so much, because many of the Tribal Elders have passed on before giving their wisdom to someone else. By sharing our ancient ways, we fill in these gaps for each other and leave more for our children. Together we can restore the ancient ways through our way of knowing.

The Kingdom of Hawaii in collaboration with The Graduate School of Social Sciences at Rockfield College of Sciences and Technology is inviting individuals and professionals e.g. University Teachers, Independent Researchers, Traditional Ruler and Chiefs, Tribal Elders, and Indigenous Artist and Curators, to contribute research works, thoughts, seminal papers etc. for publication in forthcoming database repository called - ONE VOICE: Commonalities in Indigenous Philosophy.

  WE KNOW WHAT WE KNOW.  IT IS OUR WAY OF KNOWING

TWO TYPES OF ONE-VOICE DATABASES

1. Public Database:  Public Database is for use by individuals that are seeking to recover or enrich their Way of Knowing, culture and traditions that may have been lost to them due to colonialism. This information is helpful in educating children and individuals new to Indigenous or Aboriginal life differences. This information can be utilized in Higher Education Studies for degree programs. Submissions here should be considered for public use. This is built by Indigenous for First Nations, it is hoped that any individuals interested will benefit from this database's use

2. Private Database:  Private Database is only accessed by direct authorization. It contains information that is being preserved for future generations, particularly where individuals have received this information down through generations of family with the responsibility to pass it along to future generations. Because so much information of this type has been lost, this is an archival storage so that no more will be lost. This database cannot be accessed by the general public but only by those authorized such as the CONTRIBUTOR indicates or as THE KINGDOM OF HAWAII authorizes after conferring with Tribal Leaders-Elders, or First Nation Heads, or other Spiritual Leaders, etc., but never at the opposition of the original Contributors
